Obituary for Lamar Adger

LAMAR OMAR ADGER was born to the union of Melinda Adger and John Riggs on January 7, 1988, at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, New York. Lamar attended Freddie Thomas High School, and later earned his G.E.D. and a Certificate in Culinary Arts.

He was employed at Popeye's and Golden Corral until he became ill. He loved to cook, play music, and above all, dress. Lamar was one "fly" dresser! Every time he came around, he was dressed to impress. He was always expressing his desire to become an entrepreneur and open his own restaurant. If that wasn't the topic of his conversation, it was about his two sons. It was clear that they meant the world to Lamar.

Lamar was suddenly called home on January 20, 2023 at Strong Memorial Hospital. He is predeceased by one brother, Arsenio Adger; grandparents, Peter Adger, James and Junita Washington, Kelly Riggs Sr., and Lonnie Everett; and one aunt, Tonia Adger.

Lamar leaves to cherish his memory: two sons, Kasim Adger and Kyheir Adger; his mother, Melinda Adger; father, John (Ann) Riggs; two grandmothers, Enda Everett and Josie Riggs; seven brothers: Charles Adger (Kaylin), Chykie (Alesha) Adger, Johniel Adger, John Rutledge, Shariek Rutledge, Chauncey Rutledge and
Dewayne Rutledge; four sisters: Lashunda Riggs, (Peachez), Dynasty Riggs, Lataya Riggs (Alena), and Danielle Rutledge; two aunts, Rosemary Adger and Diane Riggs; three uncles: James
Adger, Lonnie Everette Jr., and Kelly Riggs Jr.; a very special friend, Trinia, and a special sister-in-law, Diasheen Lee, whom he called Dalfiena, along with a host of nieces, nephews, a special nephew, Charles Adger Jr., and friends.
