Obituary for Kenneth Lamar

Kenneth Dwayne LaMar, aka “NINE”, was born October 11, 1964, in Rochester, New York. He was the son of Patti Ann Ravenell and James Rufus LaMar.

He was employed with Raymour and Flanigan. Kenneth was a diverse individual with many interests adding to his enjoyment of life. He loved football and was the ultimate Dallas Cowboys fan. He was also the BASS MASTER, a title he was awarded in 2022. He enjoyed dancing and listening to music. An individual who enjoyed the outdoors, he would often go fishing and barbecue in the yard. His sense of humor was contagious. In his eyes, anyone could be a “bozo”, and he took the liberty of calling you by that name. There was also a serious side of him that deeply loved his family and allowed him to be great listener. Kenneth will be fondly remembered for his unique walk and his favorite saying, “Ahhhhhh, get mine’s together” or simply “Ahhhhhh.”

Kenneth was married to Lorrie Jones in 2000. Although the pair legally divorced in 2010, they never parted.

On December 10, 2022, Kenneth transitioned his earthly life, predeceased by his mother, Patti Ann Ravenell; two brothers, Terry and Patrick LaMar, and a nephew, Mark Smith. He leaves to cherish his memory: his spouse and longtime friend, Lorrie Jones; children: Ketrell and Amber LaMar, Sarah and TreShon Alexander; grandchildren: Kristieon, Nasir, Milynia, Kalyna, and Lylan LaMar, Da’Mere and A’Sanii Goins, I’Yana
