Obituary for Phennie Edwards

Phennie M. Edwards was born August 23, 1941 in Butter County (Pigeon Creek), Alabama to the late Herman and Ella Bones.

She attended Georgiana High School. She was married in the early 60's to the late Henry Edwards. After moving to Rochester, New York, she became employed with the Eastman Kodak Company, where she
worked for many years.

Phennie was a very sweet and caring woman who loved to dress with her many hats. She also loved to cook big meals and have family over on holidays. She had a "green thumb" and enjoyed planting flowers and growing vegetables in her garden.

Phennie entered into eternal rest on May 13, 2021. She is predeceased by a son, William H. Edwards; a sister, Ela Mae Nix, and two brothers, Robert and Joe Bones. She leaves to cherish her memory: one son, Walter E. Edwards; grandchildren: Jasmine Edwards, Walter E. Edwards Jr., Eli Shales and Shalia Edwards; great-grandson, Jayden Rand; three sisters: Sarah (Zebiden) Maye of Orange City, Florida, Beulah McClain of Greenville, Alabama and Mary McClain of Rochester, New York; a special nephew, John Maye, a special niece, Mary Harper, and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.
