Obituary for Albert Davis

Albert A. Davis was born March 19, 1945 in Macon County Hospital in Montezuma, Georgia. He
was the son of Bessie May and Nash Davis Sr. One of 15 children, Albert was raised in the small
town of Marshville, Georgia.

He attended Lawson Richardson Elementary School, graduating June 3, 1966. In 1967, Albert
moved to Rochester, New York where he later met Sandra Carson. They were married in 1971.
Their union was blessed with one daughter, Evonne.

Albert was employed with Sargent and Greenleaf for 15 years. He then worked in Tool and Dye for
several years. Albert retired from the Rochester City School District after 40 years of loyal service.

Albert departed this life May 14, 2020. He leaves to cherish his memory: his loving and devoted
wife, Sandra Davis; 1 daughter, Evonne (Ory) Leach; 8 grandchildren: Ory Leach Jr., Shaquan
(Dashauna) Leach, Ortrayl Leach, Orleke Leach, Oreon Leach, Omari Leach, Ortavious Leach and
Orvonte Leach; 6 great-grandchildren: Evory Leach, Lavonne Leach, Precious Leach, Ki’yah
Leach, Sha’quan Leach Jr., and Na’ryiah Leach; 3 brothers: Nash Davis Jr., Willie (Dorothy) Davis
and William (Fannie) Davis. He also leaves a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives, and friends.
