Funeral Home Services Pricing
Trusted Rochester Funeral Home Services
We are committed to transparency in our business practices. This requires us to be upfront and open about our prices for both funeral home services and related products.
And for a business to be truly transparent, the staff needs to follow certain rules or guidelines that keep everyone accountable for their words and actions. We are not the type of funeral home that will entrap you nor will we require you to sign anything while you are comparing prices or negotiating over the details and cost of a funeral.
It’s easy to see that if our funeral home pulls this way yesterday and that way tomorrow when it comes to openness, communication and accountability, families would quickly lose their trust in us.
And trust is everything.
After all, the funeral home services we provide are unique, and the people we serve are in a very vulnerable position. We consider trust to be an essential part of the relationship we develop with the families we serve.
Traditional Funeral Service Prices
For families faced with the death of someone dear to them, it quickly becomes clear that funerals rank among the most expensive purchases they may ever make. Many suburban funerals run well over $10,000. And then, there is the cost of a burial plot and marker. The final costs can be overwhelming for the average family.
A traditional funeral service at Metropolitan Funeral Chapels, Inc., starts at $2,450, which includes transfer of remains to the funeral home, embalming, dressing, cosmetizing, basic service of funeral director and staff, use of facilities for same day viewing and funeral ceremony, utility vehicle, and transportation of our hearse to local cemetery. It does not include special restoration of autopsy cases, limousine(s), casket, outer burial container, memorial package, or cash advance items.
Please contact us for details on how we can create a meaningful celebration of life for your loved one. You cannot price match sincere compassion.
Funeral Assistance Program
We also take part in the Monroe County Funeral Assistance program which provides benefits for residents, upon approval, who are indigent or who have no assets to pay for their funerals. Currently, the maximum benefit is $1,250.
On top of this benefit, Metropolitan Funeral Chapels, Inc. has had the opportunity to serve and offer over $ 5 million dollars worth of funeral and cremation service discounts to both non-qualifying and qualifying families of the Monroe County Funeral Assistance program since we opened in 1986.
Since we have an established relationship with the Monroe County Funeral Assistance Program, we will take care of the application and paperwork effectively and efficiently on the family’s behalf.
