Obituary for Nicole M. Baxtrum

Nicole M.  Baxtrum
Nicole Monique Baxtrum was born on October 11, 1980 in Rochester, New York to Juanita Greer and Sylvester Baxtrum Sr. She was the oldest daughter of four siblings (Daniel Greer, Vernita, Sylvester Jr., and Tiffany Baxtrum).

In her younger years, she attended #6, #9, and #22 Schools where she found her love for basketball. From there, she attended Jefferson Middle School where she was the starting Point Guard for 2 years. She participated in the JoJo White Basketball League. She played Varsity Basketball for 4 years and participated in the AAU League. Nicole graduated from East High School in 1999 with a Regents Diploma, and was recognized by the National Honors Society.

After graduating High School, Nicole attended Genesee Community College. From there, she transferred to Monroe Community College where she received her A.A.S. in Photography and Visual Communications in 2003. She then went on to obtain her Bachelors in Science for Business and Human Services in 2014.

Nicole was a legit hustler. She always had the mind set of an entrepreneur. She was always about her money and businesses. She opened up a car dealership called SE&B Auto Sales. She also had a landscaping business called Baxtrum Landscaping. She even obtained her Asbestos License and her Pistol Permit. Since the age 14, Nicole has always worked. Nicole worked for the City or Rochester for 14 years. For 7 years she worked as a Security Guard at Monroe Community College. She also worked as a Driver-Messenger up until her passing.

Nicole loved God and her family dearly. She was a beautiful person inside and out. She was so joyful and pleasant with a smile that could light up a room. She had a wonderful personality. Nicole always gave great advice, especially to make you think. She was one of a kind and loved to travel. Nicole was willing to learn any and everything she could. She was a gift with many talents. She was knowledgeable and was a great resource for a lot of us. She was always respectable and had a warm heart. Everyone loved Nicole. She was truly a phenomenal woman.

Nicole M. Baxtrum was unexpectedly called home on May 14th, 2017. She is preceded in death by; her father, Sylvester Baxtrum Sr.; her aunts: Annie Jane Foster and Linda McQueen; and her uncle, J.C. Hunter. She leaves to celebrate her zest for life; her mother, Juanita Greer; 3 sisters: Keisha, Vernita, and Tiffany Baxtrum; 2 brothers: Daniel Greer and Sylvester Baxtrum, Jr.; 3 aunts: Diane Hunter, Laura Jane Johnson, and Anne Hunter; 9 uncles; William Earl Hunter, John Lee Hunter, E.J. Hunter, Stanley Hunter, Jessie Hunter, Jerome Hunter, Willie Greer, Henry Hunter (Juanita), and Micheal Greer; 4 nieces; Davella Greer, Peyton Baxtrum, Amari Baxtrum, Aubree Baxtrum, and a special niece, Skylar Manigault; 4 nephews; Jayse Baxtrum, Delshawn Greer, Danny Greer, and Davell Greer, a goddaughter, Kamora Marshall; and a host of other relatives, and friends.
