Departed this life Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at Kirkhaven Nursing Home
at the age of 86. Virginia was born April 19, 1930 in Bowling Green, KY. For
nearly 66 years she was the cherished wife of Otha D. Miller until his passing in
October 2016. She is also preceded in death by her parents Harve and Louise Ferrell
and sister, Vallie Thompson. Virginia was an excellent cook (once working in that
capacity for the Governor of Kentucky) and loved to play Scrabble, do crossword
puzzles and garden. She was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother. She is
survived by her four children Dana (Freda) Miller, Cheryl Miller, Valerie (Richard)
Turner, and Jonathan Miller. Four grandsons: Keith (Jessica) Miller, Justin
(Terrian) Miller, Richard (fiancée Brittany) Turner, Jr., and Jon Mikle Miller, the
Turner step-grandchildren: Rashira, Nikkii, and Rahndale; one great-grandson:
Maxwell Miller. The family sends a special thank you to the 3rd Floor staff at
Kirkhaven/Hospice for their compassionate care and support. We send sincere thanks
to all for thoughts, prayers, flowers and tokens of sympathy. A private funeral and
interment was held.
